Walks

Beacon Cove

Beacon cove is a beautiful spot and the first place you come to when you join the coast path from Trevarrian or Bre Pen. We find the accessibility better from Bre Pen so have included directions from there, just 2 minutes down the road from Trevarrian. See the red line on the map.

Beacon Cove beach isn’t accessible however there is a beautiful spot to sit where the stream meets the sea. Take the right down the hill.

As you make your way down the path you will see a bridge at the bottom of the valley come into view. Once you reach this bridge there is a path leading past it and out to the most amazing views and a favourite spot to view the sunset.

From the Holiday Park follow the road down towards Mawgan Porth. On the left hand side, before you get to Bre Pen you will see the gate and entrance to the footpath leading out to the coast path.

Follow this path to the end where you’ll pass through a kissing gate and out to the coast path where the path opens up to reveal the beautiful Beacon Cove.

Walks

Watergate Bay

From Beacon Cove (directions above) you can then carry on to Watergate Bay.

Continue over the bridge at Beacon Cove and up the stairs.

Follow the winding path all the way along the length of Watergate Bay beach. You will see along the way there is a gate leading out to the road if you would prefer to use this access.

If you continue along the coast path you will come to stairs at the end leading down to the road and a few meters from the entrance to Watergate Bay Beach.

Walks

Mawgan Porth

Mawgan Porth is a beautiful beach just down the road from the Holiday Park. It is accessible via the picturesque walk along the coast path.

Take a right here and follow the path on round.

The view will soon open up to the beautiful Mawgan Porth Bay. Keep to the path, up a small hill and then down the steps into Mawgan Porth. Around the track you will come out just at the bottom of Mawgan Porth hill.

If you fancy a longer more adventurous walk you can rejoin the coast path, halfway across Mawgan Porth beach

walk along to the end of the beach

and  then climb the hill and onwards towards Bedruthan Steps.
